About the website

Our home page was prepared in May 2004. An introduction to the institution and details of the more important collections can be found on it. Our aim is, first of all, to assist with the access and usage of our library.
The Baroque library room of Archbishop ádám Patachich (1776-1784) today is one of the significant places to see for foreign visitors to the city of Kalocsa and the region of the Southern Planes of Hungary. For this reason we are giving separate pages of information of the things worth seeing, under the titles: Visiting the Baroque reading room and Guide to the exhibition about the history of the library. About other exhibitions you can see this page: THE SIGHTS OF KALOCSA
Under the title: Digitalized documents, we give the complete picture content of some of the digitalized documents on our home page. We are hoping to develop catalogue type information in the future, using first of all our local history, and manuscript collections.
We welcome your comments and opinions about the content and ease of use of our home page on kalbib [at] asztrik [dot] hu ( our e-mail address).
We wish you successful orientation!
